Thomas Hooper

While I don't have any of his work yet, Thomas Hooper is on my short list of people I absolutely need to get tattooed by.

Dark, mystical, and tribal (but in a cool viking way, not in a bad 90s armband way), his style seems like a natural continuation of the legendary Daniel Higgs (who would also be on my short list, along with Chris Conn ... but alas, both have since retired). That's not to say he's at all derivative. Just the opposite in fact; his work is some of the most distinctive and original out there.
