Backyard Bill is photographer William Gentle's take on a street style blog, but he brings the whole concept a giant leap forward. Instead of an amateurish photo taken at random of a person wearing a nice outfit, he actually spends some time with the subject, doing a few different looks all pulled from their own wardrobes and seeking out some interesting locations.
It doesn't hurt that he's a fantastic photographer either.

I caught a post about this on Blackbird's blog right when the site first started, so I've been lucky enough to have been keeping up with it since the beginning. Love the site, I just wish it was updated more often.
I just discovered the site early in the week and I'm already jonseing for more ... but I can see how much time it must take to put each post together, so I'm trying to be patient.
Yeah just stumbled on it via Trimmed with Gold Above. I kind of wish I was doing the same thing, but this guy is a much better photographer than I am. Still, cool concept.
I think it's definitely the photographic ability that sets Backyard Bill apart from the pack. Very talented guy.
