In addition to her work as a film maker, stylist and fashion designer, Maripol is quite well known for her Polaroid documentation of New York's music and art scene in the 80s and on. It's easy to see the continued influence she's had on the fashion world -- in that light, her pictures, even those approaching 30 years old, still seem quite of the moment.
